A last-minute commission, I had just a week before premiere to jump-in and find my place! I composed a quadrophonic, mostly abstract electronic and noisy pieces that embraced the whole space shared by the audience and actors.
The idea was to re-enact the early aural experience of my childhood, when my own pulse, blood flow and noise of neural system were bringing me to the edge of hypnotic nightmare as I was somehow losing myself in a strange, otherworldly space.
A need to be understood, admired or at least noticed applies to every person who does creative work - the rare exceptions are more likely to suppress this need to protect themselves against frustration, counting on the appreciation by 'future generations' or using the strategy of denial or defiance as a means of building one's persona or as a PR stunt.
